Frequently Asked Questions

No. You can book an appointment directly here.
-
Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion about your health history, current concerns and goals, followed by a thorough assessment and treatment where appropriate. Every session is tailored to the individual rather than following a standard protocol.
-
To help you get the most from your treatment, please consider the following recommendations:
Avoid eating a large meal for 2–3 hours before your appointment. Arriving on a relatively empty stomach is generally more comfortable, particularly if your treatment includes visceral manipulation or work around the abdomen and diaphragm. Drinking water is encouraged, and a light snack is perfectly acceptable if needed.
Wear comfortable clothing. Depending on the area being assessed or treated, you may be asked to expose part of the body while your comfort and privacy are always maintained.
Bring any relevant imaging or medical reports if they relate to your current concern.
Allow yourself some quiet time after your appointment whenever possible. Manual therapy can create changes that continue after the session has finished. If your schedule allows, try to avoid rushing straight back into strenuous exercise or a busy day. A gentle walk, staying well hydrated and giving your body time to integrate the treatment can be beneficial.
-
Some techniques may produce temporary discomfort, particularly when working with sensitive tissues, but treatment should always remain within a tolerable range. Open communication is encouraged throughout the session.
-
This depends on your individual circumstances, health history and goals. Some people seek care for short-term problems, while others choose ongoing treatment to support long-term movement and wellbeing.
-
Remedial treatment forms part of what I do, but my approach integrates principles from other healthcare therapies, musculoskeletal assessment, visceral manipulation, neural manipulation and craniosacral techniques. Treatment is guided by clinical reasoning rather than by a single modality.
